The Kazakhstan national football team, governed by the Kazakhstan Football Federation, began competing internationally after independence in 1991 and joined UEFA in 2002. They have yet to qualify for a FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship but enjoyed their best Euro campaign in 2024, reaching the play-offs after a historic comeback win over Denmark. Their record results include a 7–0 victory over Pakistan in 1997 and an 8–0 defeat to France in 2021.
