The Moldova national football team, governed by the Moldovan Football Federation, has competed internationally since the early 1990s and plays home matches at Zimbru Stadium in Chișinău. Although they’ve never qualified for a FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship, they recorded memorable wins like a 3–2 comeback against Poland in Euro 2024 qualifying and a 5–2 victory over Montenegro in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Their biggest-ever win is 5–0 over Pakistan (1992), while their heaviest defeat was an 8–0 loss to Denmark in 2021.
