The Tunisia national football team, nicknamed The Eagles of Carthage, has played in six FIFA World Cups, becoming the first African and Arab team to win a World Cup match in 1978. They won their only Africa Cup of Nations title in 2004 on home soil and have been regular participants since the 1990s. In 2025, Sami Trabelsi returned as coach, with Tunisia leading their World Cup qualifying group and preparing for AFCON 2025.
