The Venezuela national football team, La Vinotinto, is the only CONMEBOL side never to have qualified for a FIFA World Cup, though they’ve competed in every edition since 1966. Their best Copa América finish was fourth place in 2011, after reaching the semi-finals. Most recently, under coach Fernando Batista, they advanced to the 2024 Copa América quarter-finals and currently stand fourth in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
